About

Built by operators who ran the systems we replace.

Haevek was founded by data + AI infrastructure engineers who care about speed and efficiency. We built Falcon because we knew — first-hand — that the JVM-era data stack was no longer the right tool for the job.

Principles

What we believe.

Three convictions that drive every architectural decision in Falcon and every customer engagement we run.

P.01

Outcomes are the only proof.

Slideware is cheap. We don't sell on benchmarks we ran in our lab. We benchmark on yours. Every customer relationship starts with a Test Flight on a workload they care about.

P.02

Architecture beats configuration.

You can't optimize your way to an order-of-magnitude shift. Compiled pipelines, Kubernetes-native patterns, abstraction avoidance, scale-to-zero — these are structural choices. They produce structural results.

P.03

Hard things should run anywhere.

Cloud, on-prem, edge, air-gap. The Falcon binary is the same across all of them. We don't believe the operating model should change because the deployment target did.

Origin

Why make Haevek?

Somewhere in the last decade, efficiency stopped being the point. We built Haevek to make it the point again.

A generation of engineers treated horizontal scaling and elastic cloud as a license to stop thinking about efficiency. The architecture and abstraction layers let them — and the bill came due anyway: always-on clusters, JVM overhead, a sprawling attack surface, a deployment model that fought modern hardware instead of using it. As systems got more complex, the waste compounded.

Our founding team spent decades building and operating production systems on the legacy data infrastructure — Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Hadoop — for defense, intelligence, and enterprise customers at petabyte scale. We knew the architecture cold, and we knew exactly where to find the sharp corners and scaling limits. As the world moved to "consumption" models, no amount of tuning could close the gap between what the systems cost and what they could deliver for a business or mission owner.

So we started over. Falcon is a clean-sheet design for a distributed compute engine — compiled, Kubernetes-native, AI inference built in, an order of magnitude faster at a fraction of the cost, and yours to run entirely on your own infrastructure. This is how we close the gap.

That's the whole pitch. The rest is in the benchmarks.

Team

Operators, not pundits.

We've shipped distributed systems at petabyte-scale before. Now we do it every day. Our culture is built on an intrinsic drive to solve hard problems, to always ask “how can I help?”, and to have some fun along the way.
